May 2012 - New Launching

Jens Killinghusen's new Ker 50' "Varuna" has launched and sailed for the first time. Knierim Yachts built her immaculately in just five and a half months, making good use of their large CNC machines for speed and accuracy. The boat has performed well as expected in the light winds experienced so far and everyone involved is looking forward to seeing her progress through the season.


May 2012 - Andrew Pearce's Ker 40 "Magnum 3", is the overall winner of the RORC Morgan Cup offshore race (48 entries), narrowly beating her sistership Jonathan Goring's "Keronimo" by 26 seconds. Also coming in close behind on corrected time was Tonnerre making it an all Ker designed top three and incredibly two Ker 39's were in the top seven as well as the Ker-modified TP52 "pace" -- click to see results on RORC website

April 2012 - Andrew Pearce has won Class IRC1 of the Warsash Spring Series in his Ker 40 "Magnum 3", his first event with his new yacht.

April 2012 - Jonathan Goring wins class in the first inshore weekend of the RORC Commodores Cup Trials in his Ker 40 "Keronimo", after close racing with Magnum 3.

March 2012 - Hull Lamination starts on the first of the carbon fibre Ker 46 racers off the McConaghy production line, this one destined for Cape Town.

March 2012 - Connel McLaren's Ker 40 "Icebreaker" wins the BMW Auckland Regatta in both IRC, BMW Handicap and PHRF.

March 2012 - Ed Psaltis' Ker 40 "AFR Midnight Rambler" wins Grant Thornton Short Ocean Pointscore

Dec 2011 - Ed Psaltis' Ker 40 "AFR Midnight Rambler" wins the Lion Island - Botany Bay Race overall in both IRC and ORCi.

Nov 2011 - Ed Psaltis' Ker 40 "AFR Midnight Rambler" wins the Cabbage Tree Island Race overall in ORCi.

Oct 2011 - Ker 53 "Dralion" is Class Winner in the Rolex Middle Sea Race, completing a very successful season for her Owner Pit Finis and his team.

Oct 2011 - Pit Finis' Ker 53 "Dralion" Overall winner of the 44 boat class IRC B at Les Voiles de St Tropez

Sept 2011 - Ker 39's 1st and 2nd at the Atlantique le Telegramme Groupama, Bernard Gouy's Inis Mor winning ahead of Marc Menesguen's Tiger III

Sept 2011 - Ed Psaltis' new Ker 40 "AFR Midnight Rambler" wins the Lion Island Race overall on her first competitive outing.

Sept 2011 - Mike Greville wins Cherbourg Race overall in his one-off Ker 39 Erivale and also wins class zero for the second year running

August 2011 - Bill Bremner's Ker 32 "Foxy Lady 5" wins class in Western Circuit Regatta, Singapore

August 2011 - After most of the season completed, Ker 46 "Tonnerre" remains in first place in the Overall RORC season championships while Ker designs fill 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in Class 1 overall.

August 2011 - New Ker 40 "Keronimo" owned by Jonathan Goring won class 1A in the Fastnet Race, a great result for a largely upwind and fetching race against a number of 60+ ft yachts. Two other Ker designs were in the top ten of class 1 overall, namely Bernard Gouy's Ker 39 "Inis Mor" in second place and Mike Greville's Ker 39 "Erivale"

August 2011 - New Ker 40 "Marinetti" won the New York Challenge Cup at Cowes Week. Chartered by Robert Condon for the week and improving with every race, the Ker 40 demonstrated its potential, while the seasoned team on the the Ker 39 Inis Mor sailed a consistent series to take second place overall.

June 2011 - First, Second and Third in Class 1 for Ker designs at the UK IRC National Championships! Ker 46 Tonnerre moved ahead of Ker 39 Antix to win on the final day. Ker 40 Keronimo", led after the first day (and their first day of inshore races) and with three firsts and two seconds in her scoreline definitely showed huge potential.

June 2011 - Larry Dickie's new Ker 43 Ptarmigan wins her class in Block Island with a dominant score line in her first regatta.

June 2011 - Ker 53 "Dralion" overall IRC winner of the St Remo to St Tropez Race.

June 2011 - Ker 46 Tonnerre Overall Winner of the RORC North Sea Race

May 2011 - Congratulations to Jonathan Goring and team, winning class with his Ker 40 in her maiden race, the 230 mile RORC Myth of Malham and beating the reigning RORC champion, the Ker 46 Tonnerre into second place.
